Matt Beverin

 

A 2013 graduate of Monmouth University, Matt helped the Hawks to three Northeast Conference Championships and three NCAA appearances.The Hawks were ranked as high as #4 in the NSCAA polls.

 

Prior to Monmouth, Matt attended the University of Louisville and helped them to a Big East Championship and a ranking of #7 in the NSCAA polls.

 

After graduation, Matt went on trial with professional club NK Primorac in Croatia.

 

A Glen Rock High School standout, Matt was a four-year varsity starter, three-time all BPSL, two-time All County, two-time All State, and a member of the NJ and Region I ODP Programs. Matt played his club soccer for PDA Cruyff and New York Red Bulls.

 

 

Cesar Blacido

 

A 2012 graduate of Monmouth University, Cesar

helped the Hawks to four Northeast Conference Championships and four NCAA appearances. The Hawks were ranked as high as #4 in the NSCAA polls.

 

After graduation, Blacido went on trial with professional club Leon De Huanuco in Peru.

 

A Ramsey High School standout, Cesar was a four year starter, three-time all NBIL, two-time All County, two-time All State, and a member of the NJ and Region I ODP Programs and a member of the US National Pool. Cesar played his club soccer with PDA Socrates and New York Red Bulls.

 

Cesar currently coaches the Ramsey Junior Varsity Boys, as well as many teams from The Glen Rock Shooting Stars and Fair Lawn All-Stars. 

 

 

Training Staff

Sam Trotta

 

A 2013 gradute of American University, Sam

was a three year starter for the Eagles. During her time at AU, Trotta scored three goals while also having three assists in the tough Patriot League. 

 

Prior to American, Trotta was a four year member of the Glen Rock Women's Varsity Team. As captain her senior year, she led the team in goals and assists while being selected to the All-League, All-County, and All-State team. 

 

Sam played her club soccer with World Class.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sloan, a 2013 graduate of TCNJ, started 63 of her 75 career games for the Lions. In her four years, Sloan tallied 15 goals and had 6 assists. During her senior year, Sloan helped TCNJ to a #11 ranking in the country. She also garned First Team All-NJAC.

 

Before heading to TCNJ, Sloan was a four-year starter at Ramsey High School. She was an intregal part of the Rams midfield and led them to two league championships, as well as deep into the county and state tournaments. She was tabbed All-League her junior and senior seasons.

Sloan DePiero

Sam Roca 

A 2009 graduate from High Point University. Sam was part of defensive unit that allowed less than a goal per game during his senior year. 

 

Prior to High Point, Sam was part of the South Carolina Men's Soccer team that played in the highly competitive Atlantic Coast Conference. 

 

As a four year starter at Wayne Valley High School, Sam was the 2005 New Jersey State Player of the Year, First-Team All-state, All-County, and All-Conference. Sam played his club soccer with the New York Red Bulls. 

 

Sam currently plays for the Ironbound Soul of the American Soccer League.

Emmo Lawrence

A 2012 graduate from Villanova, Emmo started every game he appeared in for the Wildcats. Emmo helped lead the Wildcats to the Big East Finals in 2012.

 

Prior to Villanova, Emmo was a three-year starter at Seton Hall Prep. During his tenure, Emmo accumulated 16 goals and 36 assists, while also being named to a two-time All League, two-time All-County, and two-time All-State.  

 

Emmo played club soccer for PDA Cruyff, who was ranked as high as #1 in the country.

 

 

 

 

 

Mark Brode

A 2012 graduate of Syracuse University, Mark a key component to the quick growth of the Orange program. Brode appeared in 56 games while scoring 3 goals and having 7 assists. 

 

Before Syracuse, Brode led Ward Melville to two Suffolk County semifinals appearances and was named the Suffolk County League 1 MVP his senior year, scoring 13 goals and dishing out 11 assists.  

 

Mark played his club soccer for the New York Red Bulls Academy and represented them in the U23 National Premier Soccer League.

Sam Petrone

Sam joins the TSD staff after playing three years professionally in Sweden, Iceland, and most recently, Rochester. 

 

After playing his freshman year at Clemson, Sam transferred to Seton Hall. While at Seton Hall, Sam was always a threat in front of the net. He earned NCAA national player of the week in Sep '11 after scoring 8 goals in three games.

 

A Glen Rock High School standout, Sam garned all kinds of allocades during his four years as a Panther. A four-year starter, three-time All-County, three-time All-State, Sam also finished as the Panthers All-Time leading goal scorer. 

A 2012 graduate of Loyola University, Zach was a mainstay in the Greyhounds defense all four year. Tweddell started every game in appeared in. Tweddell helped the Greyhounds reach the MAAC semifinals his senior year. He also was selected to the MAAC all tournament team.

 

Prior to Loyola, Tweddell played soccer for Monkseaton High School in Newcastle, England. His captained his side to a league and national championship.

 

 

 

Zach Tweddell

 

Wurzburger, a 2014 graduate of Montclair State University, started 80 of his 85 career games for the Red Hawks. During his tenure at MSU, Maxx scored 14 goals and dished out 21 assists. During his junior and senior seasons, Maxx helped lead the Red Hawks to the NCAA DIII semi-finals.

 

Prior to MSU, Maxx was a three-year starter at Glen Rock High School. During his three years, the Panthers won the league championship twice and guided them to a sectional championship.

Maxx Wurzburger

Yannick Smith

Yannick, a 2013 gradute from Old Dominion University, four-year starter for the Monarchs. After coming on slow as an underclassman, Yannick burst onto the national stage his junior year. Yannick finished his junior season with 16 goals in 20 games, which finished 9th in the country. He ended his career in Virginia Beach with 23 goals and 14 assists while being selected by the Houston Dynamo in the MLS Supplamental Draft. 

 

Prior to Old Dominion, Yannick was a four-year starter at Hillsborough High School and was selected to All-League, All-County, and All-State on multiple occasions. He was part of the NJ and Region I ODP programs and played his club soccer with PDA Cruyff, alongside fellow TSD trainers Emmo Lawrence and Matt Beverin. 

Matt Cecconi

Matt comes to TSD after four successful years at Muhlenburg College. Matt was a standout defender for the Mules and was named Conference Defender of the Week on multiple occasions. Cecconi captained the Mules his senior season and helped lead Muhlenberg to a successful season in the highly competitive Centennial Conference.

 

After Muhlenburg, Matt became the Fair Lawn Girls Varsity assistant coach. After two years, Matt became the Head Coach of the Fair Lawn Boys Varsity program and led them to a league championship in his first year. Matt is currently still the Fair Lawn Boys Varsity Head Coach and coaches youth soccer in Fair Lawn as well.

Ryan Hollender

Ryan, a native of Ramsey, played collegiate soccer at Lynchburg College. Ryan was a key member of the Hornets before deciding to transfer to Rutgers and finish out his degree in New Brunswick.

 

Prior to playing for Lynchburg, Ryan was a focal point for the Ramsey High School Boys Varsity team. He was a two-year captain for the Rams and helped lead them to NBIL championships from 2005-2007, and a NJ Group II State Championship in 2007.

 

Ryan currently coaches the Upper Saddle River Day Boys Varsity team and led them to it's first winning season in program history. He recieved the NJIC Coach of the Year in 2014.
